2020 Beginnings

Hey! What’s up everyone!

It’s been a minute.

The past month has been an absolute whirlwind, but God’s doing big things and I can’t wait to see what else is coming.

Real quick, as I’m getting into a rhythm now, I’m planning on posting updates every month or so with potentially one or two posts in between with stories and/or what God’s teaching me.

Anyway though, like I said, this last month has been all over the place. Since my last post, I drove 1,061 miles from northern Minnesota to Fort Worth, Texas to move into the house I’m living in during my time at Lifestyle Christianity University. I then immediately flew to Nashville, Tennessee for New Years with part of my World Race squad, drove down to Atlanta after that for Project Searchlight (the official end of my World Race) and then flew back to Fort Worth to begin school at LCU where I’m getting wrecked almost daily. This school is stretching me like never before.

The average week at LCU (if there even is such a thing) consists mainly of daily worship, teachings from Todd White, LCU pastors, and guests (so far, I’ve heard Daniel Kolenda and William Hinn among others), and outreach in the community. Already, I’ve seen many salvations and healings and am loving what I’m learning and doing, not to mention the people here are incredible!

That said, this school is really challenging me in two areas that I focused on last year: Identity and Intimacy.

These are really the focus of this school because, as I’m learning, everything flows out of these two. To summarize, most (if not all) of addictions, problems, issues, confidence, healing, words of knowledge and more comes from your foundation in these. Your intimacy is the time you spend with God in secret. It doesn’t look the same for everyone, but it’s time spent with the Father learning and growing. From that, God teaches you who you really are as a son. When you realize who you are as a son and the freedom in that, you can then begin to understand the true freedom, power, and authority you have, and the love you build with God will pour into those around you in your everyday life. A.k.a. Lifestyle Christianity.

So, that’s a really quick overview of school here, but there’s one more thing.

During my time at PSL in Georgia, God laid it on my heart to apply to lead a semester squad this summer through Adventures in Missions (the organization that runs the World Race). This would entail me leading young adults (18-21) on a one to two-month version of the Race. The exact location and dates are yet to be determined and I have my interview call this Wednesday (prayers would be appreciated that I would end up where God wants), but I’m praying this opportunity comes to fruition as a short season where I can build the kingdom even more and also pour into some younger adults as they explore God’s calling in their lives.

That’s a wrap on where I’m at currently and everything that’s happened in the last month. God is so good, and His blessings are so over the top!

Until next time,

"Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good." -Romans 12:9

God Bless!

-Ben
